The Manor Township Farmland Preservation Association (“Corporation”) is organized for charitable purposes as defined by Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Corporation seeks to aid in the preservation, protection and stewardship of farmland in the Manor Township community by acting as an eligible nonprofit entity under the Agricultural Area Security Law. No part of the net earnings of the Corporation shall inure to the benefit of any individual, and no member, director, officer or employee of the Corporation shall receive any pecuniary benefits of any kind except reasonable compensation for services in effecting the corporate purposes. No substantial part of the activities of the Corporation shall consist of the carrying on or propaganda or otherwise attempting to influence legislation, nor shall the Corporation participate in, or intervene in (including the publishing or distributing of any statement, any political campaign on behalf of, or in opposition to, any candidate for public office.
